Expanding your business into new markets is exciting, but it can also be complex. One of the biggest challenges is complying with local labour laws and regulations. That’s where an Employer of Record (EOR) partner can come in.
An EOR is a company that takes on the legal responsibility of employing your employees in new markets. They handle all the HR and payroll tasks, so you can focus on growing your business.
The Employer of Record Category of the HR Ecosystem Awards recognises the best partner in EOR. They will have a deep understanding of the complex and ever-changing labour landscape in each country where they operate.
Key Assessment Criteria:
Judges evaluating the finalists and selecting the ultimate winners will focus on two key criteria that define excellence in Employer of Record:
- Criteria #1 – Compliance and Risk Management: The EOR’s demonstrated capacity to effectively manage compliance with local labour laws and regulations, while mitigating employment-related risks. This can include ensuring proper employee classification, managing tax withholdings and filings, and implementing workers’ compensation coverage.
- Criteria #2 (Optional) – Seamless Onboarding and Administrative Services: The EOR’s ability to provide efficient and hassle-free onboarding and offboarding services for employees. This also includes the provision of comprehensive administrative support, including payroll management, benefits administration, and handling of employment-related disputes.
